Since the Fully Open Source CCS Interface (dubbed Foccci or Foxy) has been released, quite a few vehicles have been equipped with it.
In the title we see Mathieus 1978 Toyota Land Cruiser with 12 Tesla Model S modules. It can reach a charge power of 90 kW and Foccci has been integrated with an Orion BMS.
Next up is “celerons” Opel Omega with 13 Tesla Model S modules that he dares to charge at 80 kW.
Perhaps the most spectecular vehicle in terms of performance is Dougs Cobra. On the picture he is charging at 120 kW and plans to take this even higher once he finds a suitable high power charger.
The most spectecular vehicle in terms of utility and battery capacity (120 kWh) is Svens Chevy truck. On the picture we were charging it at 82 kW (yes we like taking pictures at Teslas super chargers)
And then we have the already featured Touran with 8 ID.3 modules allowing a maximum charge power of 85 kW.
And last but not least we have Uwes very first “charging session”. Uwe can be called the lead developer of the project. Since he drives a Hyundai Ioniq classic which already has a CCS port he had to find something else to charge. Why not my laptop he must have thought.
So over all Foccci deployment is going well. 20 boards were sold and some early prototypes given away so we will see many more cars using it in the future. You can buy it in the openinverter shop or dive into the technical details in the opeinverter wiki. Happy rapid charging!
