Reverse engineering legend Damien Maguire has done it again. He got ahold of a single phase charger from an MG ZS EV. Not long after he could not only use it to charge his test high voltage pack and 12V auxiliary battery but also power an attached load:
That is because most Asian chargers support V2L (vehicle to load) i.e. they can take energy from the cars high voltage battery, invert it, and provide it via a Type2-to-wall outlet adapter plug.
So now our conversions can have this cool feature as well.
Not long after he also obtained the 3-phase version of the same charger. And guess what? He hacked it as well!
The 3-phase version has part number EP2CCU1130A (1-phase ZS1OBC6600A) and can be found on ebay and scrap yards already.
Support will be built in to the ZombieVerter VCU but the requisite CAN messages are also published should you want to code your own.
