According to his own words the author of the article “Want an electric car? Do it yourself” is not the typical car enthusiast. Still, he found himself in a workshop learning about how to build an EV. One of the takeaways was that mastering a challenge was prominent among the motivations for retrofitting an existing car. We definitely agree.
